    Firebird 0.8 as default browse

I've installed Firefox 0.8 on my system (Suse 9.0 Pro with KDE 3.1.X). I downloaded the files and uncompressed to a directory and made a shortcut to start the program. But Konqueror Web Browser is still the default browser for URL links. How can i make Firebird the default browser?

    Thanks in advance

I'm fairly certain that each program has its own default browser settings. There may be a setting, however, in Kontrol Panel or your gnome-control-panel if you run one of the more bloated DEs.
