    Kaffeine tracking problem with .wmv's

    Hey guys,

Last night, I just did an upgrade from SuSE 10.0 to 10.1, and I'm having a slight issue with Kaffine 0.8.2 when playing .wmv files...

Whenever I play a .wmv file, I lose the ability to track my position through the video. The slider won't allow me to fast forward or rewind directly to a time that I want, and it just stays on the side of the bar, as if i was watching a streaming video.

I have the w32codecs installed, and the majority of my .wmv files play fine (there are a couple that are now extremely choppy), but am I missing another codec?

    Thanks in advance!

I doubt that another codec is the issue. You could always try reinstalling Kaffeine in case something with it got messed up during the upgrade.

Yeah, I just realized that it's probably just a problem with Kaffeine. I just installed MPlayer, and everything works fine now.
