hi guys, can you recommend any p2p program such as kazaa but something that works on linux. i will be thankful if you also give me more details and links that are related to this application. for example, how do i install it, or how to operate it.

Check out aMule and/or gtk-gnutella. You will find both at freshmeat.net.

thanks man but i am using debian/knoppix ,thus, i guess gtk-gnutella is the only thing that can work on my os, isn't it? in addition, how can i install it on my computer because i am not so acquntied with this linux os.

you can do an apt-get install xmule for debian. Shoud basically be the same as amule.

1) Open up a console
2) su to root
3) type "apt-get install xmule" with out the ".
4) once it is installed, you can use it from the internet, other menu in kde.
I think the actual using of it is about the same as kaaza, but I haven't used that for like a year.

wooow thanks a lot man
- that works fine and i am very happy. by the way, i also installed Knoppix distro and i wonder if there is a chance that xmule works on it too.
