I would recommend: Gaim.

Or Kopete.
Or aMSN.
If it's purely msn protocol you're after then aMSN best IMO.
Otherwise any of them will do.

I found that aMSN dies when attempting to connect to the messenger server. It will do ICQ no prob, but can't do MSN for me. Anyone else like that?

I'm using amsn(amsn.sf.net), and im happy with it. Only one problem with it, you cant view og show a webcam.
