    Mplayer

Mplayer loads fine, everything works but one thing: the sound.

    When loaded I get this:
    Code:
Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound.
All other sound works prefectly, it is just with mplayer that it fails.

    Why is this?

This happens when audio device is not free.. do that disable system warning beeps.. it is on console then try to run mplayer. open it in same terminal again and again.. but in diff tabs.. it will work.. happened to me also

Are you having any troubles with other applications that require sound?

Nope. I can run xmms prefectly, sound works. It is that just with Mplayer that it doesnt.

So is it just one movie (avi, mpg, etc) that won't play sound?
