Evolution is handy for Palm PDA users, since you can sync your contacts, appointments, mail, and notes. But that functionality has been very hit-and-miss for me, whereas with the KDE PIM suite I've had little trouble. I recently switched to Thunderbird just because it supports drag-and-drop for moving mail messages around, and I don't miss Evolution one bit.
Oh, Evolution is also supposed to integrate with MS Exchange servers, which I think is its big selling point. If you're not on an Exchange system, there's no compelling reason to choose evolution over Thunderbird.Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!
