    Direct Connect problems in GAIM


    WHenever I had AIM installed on my old Windows machine, I was able to directly connect to other AIM users without having to modify any settings in my router. Now, whenever I try to do this with GAIM, it won't connect, assuming there is a conflict with my firewall in my router or something within Linux. ANy ideas?

    I think that GAIM uses a different port than the typical AIM, though I'm not sure on that one. It may just be a problem w/ gaim...
