    Linux application crash information

    Hello everyone,

I'm trying to make an application that after an application crash on Linux , using a specific file or files with crash information about the application that crashed, like kernel information, memory map, processes, threads, etc, could open that application showing how everything was (windows, tabels, etc) right before the crash.
Could anyone help me with some information, articles, books, sites, related products, etc for this specific problem.

    Thank you.

    Hi EngineerB,

You can peep into /proc for the current status.
If a process id of the application crashed is 1234, you can get a lot of details in /proc/1234 directory about the application.

    Hi and Welcome !

This thread is more than 2 years old and I don't think thread starter is still looking for the solution.
Anyways, thanx for posting. Please post your suggestions in a bit recent threads.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
