    mplayer plugin problem



    ive installed mplayer and mplayer plugin on my FC5 box...but the mplayer plugin dosent seem to be working...whenever i try to play quictime files on the net ..i press the start button it says ..buffering...and then it goes back to the start button again...and on other files the browser completely closes off...i copied the necessary files to the appropriate folders in firefox

    cp mplayerplug-in*.so /usr/lib/firefox/plugins
    cp mplayerplug-in*.xpt /usr/lib/firefox/components

    any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks...

    check these two places as well for the right codecs
    /usr/local/lib/codecs/
    /usr/lib/win32
