    Did application compiled on 2.6 kernel will exectue on 2.4 kernel

    Hi all,
    I have written an simple application and compiled it and run it on 2.6 kernel it is working fine. I want whether that exe will run it on 2.4 kernel systems or else i have to compile it again on 2.4 kernel.

    Most programs work regardless of whether you are running a 2.4 or 2.6 kernel (or switch between the two).
