i have just started using rtorrent to replace azureus on a windows pc. for anyone in a similar position, its highly recommended!

i have a linksys nslu2 device, flashed with the debian distro. i have no x components installed, and can only access the device via ssh.

needing to continually reconnect/disconnect/etc, i have been lead down using "screen" and this works great.

having replaced the above application, due to my isp restraints, i need to pause/stop the downloads or kill the rtorrent process at specific times. so created a cron job as:

0 0 * * * screen rtorrent

i need another that finds this, and kills it or accesses it programmatically and pauses all downloads.

does anyone have details or pointers to this?
