    Unhappy sidebar app

    Is there some kind of sidebar program for X, that would host buttons that would execute a command, or show another bar from it as if it were a kind of directory? I programmed such a program with Auto-It not too long ago, but it was for windows.

    I found one called wbar, but i could not find sufficient info about it.

    Any ideas?

    gDesklets has a sidebar applet that works. Unfortunely it's kind of high on resources.

    Or you can try to recode your app to work on linux
