thunderbird backup email
I am going to delete opensuse partition and install a different distro, don't know yet. So I got 265 mails in thunderbird, some of them really important. Can I save them somehow or backup them?

you can save all emails. look in .thunderbird folder in your Home folder.
i am a kmail user and i always copy whole .kmail and .mozilla ( for firefox settings) folders and place it in newly installed distro.
that way you wont loose any email, settings or passwords.
HTH,
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
