Saving Adobe flash videos?
I heard gnash for linux allows you to save flash videos (ex youtube). I can't even get it working (I installed apt-get install gnash). I press ALT + FE type gnash -- nothing loads up.
When I right click a video I can't save it either.
Any ideas of what I could use to save videos??
thanks guys

I use a firefox extension called video downloader - which of course means it's really easy to install

I just stumbled upon this post. Thanks Giles, I was wondering how to download files from youtube.
By the way, how do you play them in linux? I used Xine on Debian and it has no sound. (I also have the w32codecs installed)

I use mplayer successfully enough. What I don't know how to do yet (althought I'm fairly sure there is a way) is to convert the videos to a better format - ogg theora, mpeg or whatever - I'm afraid.
