    hi all
    i am unable to play wmv and avi files in linux...
    so , how to convert wmv and avi (audio and video) files to .rm files... exactly..
    can you please tell me is there any converter..

    You don't need to convert them - and certainly not to Real Media files. Just install te appropriate codecs. Which distro are you having the trouble in?

    sorry no to play , only to convert those file to .rm format
    can you tell me the name of software or link path to download the converter..
    it should be install in linux(FEDORA 5)..
