    Gimp 2.0 & jpeg

    I can't get my Gimp2.0 to open or 'Save as' Jpeg files. I think I need to get the jpeg plug-in but I have no idea how, or where to look.

    Any help please?

    what happens when you try do open a jpeg or save one in gimp? did you compile from source or install an RPM?

    I installed an RPM.

    When I try to open a jpeg it tells me 'Unknown file format' and I cant save as a jpeg because the .jpg option isn't in the list

    Maybe your jpeg aren't good. Test with some you can see as jpeg in your browser (mozilla or MSIE).
