mc won't work in Escreen, an Eterm designed for the 'multiplexer' screen, in Enlightenment. The display is all over the place.

Any on know how to do it? '$ LANG=C mc' works in ordinary Eterm. Thanks any help.

mc -a makes it look tidier once it's working.

Get it working by prefixing the command for Enlightenment to start with some environment variables. So last line of .xinitrc or whatever becomes something like:
    env LANG=loadofsmegma Enlightenment-start

Forget what load of smegma is.

Allow Eterm and screen to set their own TERM variables.
