    Phone Recording

I'm the proud owner of a nifty new phone recorder and am wanting to get this to work to automatically record any conversation over my phone. (Mainly because of problems with telemarketers)
The actual box works like this: When it detects the phone is on it begins outputting the sound to a microphone jack on the box. I will then port that to a sound input on a computer. What I need is a sound recorder (probably from a security suite) that will automatically record when it hears sound and stop when there's no more input. It needs to run on a lighter distro because the computer I have to run it doesn't have a ton of power behind it. A decent amount of ram, but not a lot of kick. Any suggestions?

Problem solved, I found a great little program called listener. That is all!
