acces samba file

I'm new user here, and beginer in linux

I have the next "task"

After I reinstall Windows XP Proffesional on 2 computers i can't acces samba folder on server (linux Mandrakew 9).

\\sambserver\administrator not accessable. The network name could not be found. can someone help regarding

I must install another protocol on windows network???

Sometime i acces the file but not anytime. Anytime i must restart windows pc to have acces.

What i must to do. Please hel me :confused:

Ok, follow the steps for client configuration in this tutorial.

Also, can you ping the server from your windows computers? And can you browse the computer via ip address than hostname in windows?
