ive download a couple of bittorrent clients but I just dont get them to work.
theyre all .tar.gz files and when I extract them I cant do anything else. Most of the files are python files and their README files say I should do sth like for example:
python BT++.py <<< but it doesnt find this file nor it does with the other clients.
any1 knows a client which installs itself automatically ?
azureus is IMHO the easiest bt client
What distrobution are you using? If I know that, I can give you a nice solution to your problem.

Azureus, just make sure that you have java jre 1.5 and not 1.4.

i like bittornado
when you download a torrent file, tell it to use this program and it'll show up like a normal download would. small window with a progress bar and speed. you could go into advanced mode and view more of the details too (details that are seen in azureus and others normally).
i've tried bittorent (official client) and azureus earlier but moved to this one for simplicity. azureus kept acting up and giving 1000 error messages when it started (started soon after i had updated it...) and the bittorent client, i just didn't like. it seemed too bulky
