Can anyone point me to a good calendar managing client that runs in a terminal? Calcurse sort (but not quite it seems) meets the criteria of what I'm looking for: can import/export using the ical format, is used on the terminal, and (hopefully) can support repeating appointments and alarms of some sort. Any ideas?
I don't know if there is anything here you can use, but take a look at these software equivalents for Linux:
The table of equivalents / replacements / analogs of Windows software in Linux. (Official site of the table)
Let us know how it goes.
A couple other terminal calendar applications that I'm aware of are Wyrd and pal. You might want to check them out and see if they can meet your needs.
I've decided to give remind a shot: It seems to pretty versatile and there's also a script called iCal2Rem that can convert ical files to the reminder format. We'll see how it works out. Thanks for the references.
Remind it is.
ical -> remind
remind -> html
remind -> ps
remind -> ical
outlook -> remind
Plus there's Wyrd (thanks marsolin), tkremind, and wxremind that offer a gui-like interface.
Hopefully that is of use to any others searching for something similar.
