Cannot find shared object

I just installed adesklets(/usr/local/bin), and prior to I installed Imlib2 (/usr/local/lib), as it was required. However, when I run adesklets, it gives me an error message saying it can't find libImlib2.so.1 (which is in /usr/lib, with a symbolic link also in /usl/local/lib). Does anybody know why it may be giving me this error?

Scratch that, without changing anything, it now decided it can find the library. I left it, and at the end of the night came back to it to see if I could find anything, and all of a sudden it didn't give me that error anymore.

However....now I have other problems with that program, lol. Go figure.
