Well, finally bit the bullet and got Mandrake 9.1 (KDE) installed on me laptop (PIII 60/128mb/12Gb/DVD etc.).
What application can I use to view DVD's on this beast?
Sorry for such a lame question

My own favourite is Xine. You can also use MPlayer, Ogle, Kplayer, Totem.
You might find you need to install a library called libdvdcss as most dvds are encrypted sort of thing :)
Mandrake 9.1 comes with Xine I believe?
Chris
Groovy! Where can I find this libdvdcss you speak of?
I tried Xine and it told me to bog off but probably because I don't have this oojamawhatsit.tar.gz.zzzzzz you mention.

Good luck
Good luck as in "Good Luck (You'll need it!)" or "Good Luck" as in "Tally Ho Old Chap".
Nah, good luck as in Have fun - Be productive 8)
MaverickUK, you might find the Penguin Liberation Front useful for Mandrake rpms that aren't included with the distro.
