fslint query

Can someone please put my mind to rest regarding fslint?

Using the GUI, when I search for duplicate files the program finds (on my drive, at least) several different sets of duplicated files. If I select 'merge' the program *does* do the sensible thing and merge each set individually, doesn't it?

I ask because, despite searching the web and manpages, I cannot find out exactly what 'merge' does and, given the ambiguous wording of the warning dialog that pops up, I fear that the program will do the stupid thing and merge *every* duplicate found down into one single file plus links.

Please save my sanity.
