I'm looking to install Mersenne Prime Search and in their download section they state:
I'm not sure what glibc is or why I need it, but in my searching I have found it's important to some of the programs.Quote:
Download mprime235.tar.gz(417K), or the staticly linked sprime235.tar.gz(607K) for systems that do not have the glibc 2.1 runtime libraries.
What I need to know is how to I verify my version?
I tired one command and got the following
I'm assuming that since all the version numbers are higher than the version in the above quote I'm safe, but I'm wanting to make sure that I'm thinking in the right direction.Code:
[wes@localhost wes]$ rpm -qa | grep glibc
