Failed to open /dev/rtc: Device or resource busy (it should be readable by the user.)
Many had this same problem but they had it with diffrent programs.
What should I do with this?
Does it work when you run it as root?
What was the advice for those other programs?
/dev/rtc is the device node for the timing mechinism, or "real time clock". You may need to add user permissions to it.
does this error actually interfere with your using gmplayer at all?
because i get it all the time but it doesnt pose any problems with the program.
If it's really that annoying, I think you can recompile it without RTC support.
