I want to use the Gnome applet for XMMS but I can only find one for version 1.2.3 so I wan't to know if theres anything major 1.2.7 has that 1.2.3 doesn't.

I don't really know that myself, but check the ChangeLog in xmms.org.
ARGGGGG After I installed 1.2.3 I found the applet for 1.2.7...
LOL! Or... to bad, I mean. =)
