KMail -> Thunderbird
Welcome, Linux Veterans.
I'd like to migrate from KMail to Thunerbird, mainly because of it's antispam capabilities. The problem is that I don't know how to convert messages stored in KMail to Thunderbird. Since I have some crutial information there this is necessary.

I believe with any e-mail program, you can set up an ldap server and trasfer your mail that way. That's how I got my old messages from Outlook to Ximian.

Sorry for making a mess, I finally found the answer in the Thunderbird FAQ:
http://texturizer.net/thunderbird/faq.html. The question is why I didn't think about something like this before posting. Thanks for you time.

why don't you try tools->anti spam wizard first it allows you to integrate spamassassin, bogofilter and some other tool I've forgotten into kmail and it's quite good at that.
Migrating from one mail-client to another is always a major PITA and spamassassin and bogofilter are both excellent spam filters (at least I like them =)

I've used it for some time, but is looks like a new feature. I didn't see it in the version shipped with Mandrake 10.0. Now I really enjoy it. Thanks.
