konqueror: cannot talk to klauncher?

Everytime i log into my user on my fedora core 3 installation, and then try to start konqueror it gives me the error message "Error: could not talk to klauncher'. I have found this can be fixed by running 'kdeinit' in console, but when i log out and in again, i have to do this again. What is going on? :-[

hmm i seem to have fixed it, but the method in which i did so seemed far from logical. I logged into gnome, logged out, back into kde, and it works.

Just wondering...did you pick your username before or after this "fix"? :D :D
