Perhaps you can ask the guys at kldp.org, the greatest Open Source and Linux related Korean site I know.
Or maybe someone here knows the answer. Are you on Suse 10.1 ? With KDE ?
Yes I'm using SUSE 10.1 with KDE 3.5.1

to make it permament, Control Center -- Regional & Accessibility -- KeyBoard LayoutCode:setxkbmap kr
'Enable Keyboard Layouts' and select Korean from layout list.

I tryed to us the command but I get an error. So I tryed the contol panel one and now I have a flag on my task bar I can click to change from englsh to korean. but when I change to korean I still type in english.
