I need a lan messaging tool, dose anyone know of any good ones? (Something like popup for windows - only a simple tool, no fancy graphics or intresting tools required)

You can use:
smbclient -M host
to send a popup message to windows computers.
And how do i get windows machines to send messages back to the linux box?
