Should I have festival on one of my slackware 12.0 CDs?
If not why do I have kmouth, ksayit, and kttsmanager on my system?
Seems like festival should have been there.
Is all I need to do is download festival (which version?), There are 2 copies of festival 1.96 at OSL is that the correct one for K 3.5.7? Which should I download?
Am trying again to get Kmouth to do text to speech. It requires "festival".
When I get to the festival web site the most recent stable is 1.96 and it contains 17 different files.
I am wondering if anyone has suffered through installing the festival from festvox in the recent past and can give me an idea if all files are needed or in which order they should be installed?? The host site is not completely clear and I found no docs in HOWTOs or /usr/doc and the description in Kmouth is preciously small. In case you are wondering it does not come with the install disks. I cannot read the disks anyway to check extra due to a problem with drive recognition.
