I need to know how to install and use the following applications in CentOS 6 or Linux in general!
1. Word Process - Open Office
2. Spreadsheet Development - Open Office
3. Incoming and Outgoing E-mail - Gmail
4. Remote Administrator - SSH
5. Secure File Transfer using the scp command
6. Webpage - Apache
7. Document Printing using CUPS (Common Unix Printing System)
8. File Sharing using NFS

The good news is that these programs are easy to install, and some of those (I believe) are installed in CentOS by default.
But to install software in CentOS, simply use your package manager, yum

This page, here, might help you track down the common package names. But normally, you can get away with using the name that you know it by.
One they are installed, they should appear somewhere in your applications menu.Code:yum install apache
yum install libreoffice
The exception would be Apache and ssh.
I'm not well versed in either one of those, but you should be able to find ample documentation on the web.
I do hope you are a fast learner. In my opinion there is no way possible for you to install, set up and learn how to use all that stuff in one night. You can probably install all of it, but set up and learning to use will take days at least.
