second part of your question -
all you do is double click on the font file name in Konqueror *the KDE file manager) and it will show you the font with an Install button. Click on this and away you go.

Sorry I can't follow. Whether you meant starting "Konqueror" browser OR starting "Control Center". I did not find "KDE file manager" in the former.Quote:

satimis, konqueror is the KDE filesystem manager, just go via that to install the fonts in the way Nerderello suggested ;)
