System beep occupies sound card for 60 seconds
After system beeps, I am not able to play audio for 60 seconds. MPlayer gives me the following when I attempt to play music within a minute of beep:
The card may not be occupied for 60 seconds, maybe that is the "attempt period" of ALSA or my music players?
audio_setup: Can't open audio device /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
alsa-init: got device=0, subdevice=0
alsa-init: 1 soundcard found, using: default
I thought about aliasing mplayer with something like
but I don't know what to kill and there is probably a better solution. Any suggestions would be great.
pkill -x <somthing blocking sound> & mplayer
