Transmission source file

I am trying to torrent using transmission. The problem is, when I click a link to download something, I just get

"/tmp/mn3BZo4y.torrent.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator."

This is happening on all torrent sites.

It never comes up with an "open with" option or anything.

What does this error mean? Do I have to create some pathway or something?

Sounds like a problem with your web browser not transmission. What are you using? Try moving your browser config files and start it afresh, see if the problem persists.

For example, if Firefox you could do

mv ~/.mozilla ~/.mozilla.bak

All your settings will now be in ~/.mozilla so you can easily restore them, but see if that corrects the problem. If so, some configuration file is corrupted.
