Hello,
I'm thinking of switching to Linux completely but I enjoy the features of MS Office a lot. I was thinking is it any easier to run a BSD emulator and run the OSX MS Office?
I have tried OpenOffice but it doesn't have the features of MS Office plus there are incompatibility issues.

Yeah, I've thought about that but It only works with version 2000. Which is fine I was just wondering whether this could give me a more up to date version? And whether it can be done without much configuration hassle.

I've always seen Open Office as having more features, at least, I've always seen a lot more in it than in MS Office.... Not to mention being a lot more stable.
Maybe you just aren't looking in the right place?
Anyways, if you must use MS Office, you should probably use either Wine or Crossover Office (a branch-off of Wine).
The best place to run MS Orifice X is on OS X. You won't be able to use products like CrossOver Office for the Macintosh version of Orifice because it's designed to work with the MS Windows version, to the best of my knowledge. Are you wanting to replace Mac OS X with Linux on an Apple computer?Quote:
