I am running Red Hat 7.2 and downloaded xcdroast. I un tar'd it ,compiled, and installed it. I got the following error, cdrtools is not installed. I downloaded that program and installed it. When I tried to use xcdroast, I got yet another error , Warning No /usr/local/bin/cdrecord installed and
Invalid lib directory? Check -l option. I also downloaded cdrtools-2.0 and installed it. I still can't burn discs let alone get either program running.
Is there something I'm missing?
Do you have cdrecord installed?
"WARNING: File XYZ not present."
"Install file XYZ."
get the rpm for k3b - it is much better :D
yea you need to install cd- record. xcdroast is just a front end for it.
yes, if you don't have cdrecord, you definitely need it. cdrecord 2.0 is out now, but I am not sure if that file is a source or not. I know that rh 9 comes with that version. Post if you try this and are able to get cdrecord 2.0 to work on rh 7 cuz I tried it on 7.3 and there were dependencies all over the place.
I currently installed both cdrecord and xcdroast but they don't find each other.. know a way to change their path??? tried xcdroast -l /usr/bin but nothing...!
If you already install cdrtools, maybe the problem is, it's not in the default directory. Try to find the path for the files (whereis cdrecord) that are asked by xcdroast and create a link like this:
After you create the link an try to use xcdroast another missing files should appear. Do the same steps.
ln /usr/bin/cdrecord cdrecord
