another pacman problem

Judging from those error messages, it looks like you might not have a working internet connection. Check the Arch wiki for instructions on setting up networking.

You should be able to fix the invalid locale problem by uncommenting a the correct line(s) in /etc/locale.gen and then running locale-gen.

thanks it works now, but i just installed gnome and xorg and when i do startx i get these problems

If you haven't already done so, you'll need to get a working xorg.conf file. You can do that by going to the command line, gaining root permissions, and running:

xorgconfig
Answer all the questions about your hardware correctly, and try startx again. If it doesn't work, you might need to create an .xinitrc file. Or if you want to boot right into Gnome and you installed GDM, enter gdm into the last part of your DAEMONS section in your /etc/rc.conf file.

Also you can configure your xorg.conf file via hwd.

at first:

after installation, use that command;
