FTP/HTTP install. setting up ppp
Hello,
I've got the minimal version (150mb img) of Arch which I downloaded this morning. I burned the iso to a disk and it boots fine. I try setting up my USB wireless modem like I usually would on any other distro as such:
Usually after the first step I can check whether the OS sees my device with ls /dev/ttyU* but not in this instance. The problem lies that it seems "pppconfig" doesn't exist on Archlinux???Code:modprobe usbserial vendor=0x1d09 product=0x4000 pppconfig (Then I run through the setup and add my username, password and tel num) pon neotel (then I use pon to access my network named "neotel") ifconfig | grep ppp0 (to check whether the connection is working - which it usually is)
Please help me as I desperately want to install and use Archlinux!
Thanks in advance.

I would really recommend getting the full core installation CD and installing from that. Core includes the ppp package. You can set up your modem as follows: ArchWiki :: PPPoE Setup with pppd - ArchWiki
From there you can install pppconfig from the AUR. AUR (en) - pppconfig
