    Hi and Welcome !

    Boot up in Single User Mode and execute passwd command to set new root password.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Boot into runlevel 1.
    you will direct root access.
    Never make any misteaks.

    Thanks for reply, but how to boot up in Single User Mode? there is no such option in the grub menu.

    when u get grub menu hit "e"
    put "single" on line like this
    kernel /vmlinuz26 root=/dev/disk/by-uuid/166e636f-36ad-4027-9531-a75e3924b545 ro
    e.g.
    kernel /vmlinuz26 root=/dev/disk/by-uuid/166e636f-36ad-4027-9531-a75e3924b545 ro single
    Hit enter then hit "b"
