    Hi and Welcome !

It doesn't matter if you have created /boot partition Logical or Primary. GRUB works fine with both types of partition.
What error message machine throws at startup?
Post the contents of grub.conf ( or menu.lst ) file here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

menu.lst was ok, but i found out that there is no config file for grub !!! no idea why so i just did it the easy and used fix option from a super grub disk and its working now , thnx alot ( i just got confused cause in arch forums and wiki they say grub cant work with logical partitions so i figured they are still using the old grub version)

Could you post the link here? If there is such mistake, it should be rectified.
