Lyx install - help

Hi,

After installing lyx i was using it for a while but it couldnt output to pdf or dvi so i decided to uninstall and then install again. However after uninstalling

$sudo pacman -Rs lyx

the lyx application still appeared in my menu but i wouldnt open, now after reinstalling

$sudo pacman -S lyx

it still wont open and i dont know how to either fix the install or how to remove it.

any ideas?

What happens when you try to run lyx? Try running it from the commandline and see what error message you get.
