Can't Register for Forum
Hello,
I've been trying to register for the Arch Linux forums for almost two hours now with no success. I've seen past problems and I'm sure I am entering the right command in.
I keep getting this answer:Code:date -u +%W$(uname)|sha256sum|sed 's/\W//g'
The form keeps saying I have the wrong answer. I've checked that my date and time is right and I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.Code:49b00f6047350392238e5bb80babe088278d1cfbada7f12ddaf10ed291765e26

Hello and welcome aboard!

My output is definitely different from yours. For the moment, the answer below is what I get:
Did you try that?Code:7500b75ff6bb7dc11cb2c0fe3bc6b0f987881d9abc79780851200f09c1587dee

Hey oz,
Thanks for the welcome! I just tried the answer you posted, but I'm still having no luck.

There might be a bug happening on the Arch registration page that some are running into. I vaguely remember someone complaining about it a few days back on the Arch forums, so if I run across that thread again I'll post a link here.

Here we go...
Take a look at the following two threads if you haven't done so already and see if either of them help you to get past this issue:

I've tried making sure my system clock is right and that I'm not changing the command in some way. I've tried replacing the first part of the command before the first "|" with echo 52Linux, echo 53Linux, and echo 51Linux just in case. The first one (echo 52Linux) gives me the same result as running the command normally.

I tried the command again today and it didn't work. However, I replaced the first part of the command with echo 01Linux and succeeded. No idea why it worked and the other one didn't, but it did.
