Lightbulb Re: Set wireless card as an AP

    Hi there,
I used to set my Atheros wireless card as an Ap in Ubuntu 12.04 with hostapd package and success.
Now I need to set my Atheros wireless card as an Ap in Ubuntu 13.10 with hostapd package.
    Code:
     sudo hostapd -B /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf
    I found that error:
    Configuration file: /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf
nl80211: Failed to set interface wlan0 into AP mode
    nl80211 driver initialization failed.

Is that Ubuntu 13.10 linux doesn't support for the nl80211 driver, or could I use other way to resolve this problem?
    Thanks for your suggestion!

You should put this in the Ubuntu thread.

If the above mentioned link doesn't help, I think you must go ahead seeking a suggestion personally from a Ubuntu support guy.
