    Xorg is the server and client, usually in the same box. But not necessarily. In case both are in the same box there has to be loopback network device so client can access the server. If this is screwed up in /etc/hosts or lo interface is not started one may get an error like this. Then again, I have no clue what may be wrong if systemd is involved.

    @budman7 i got the same error message , even when i add the commandline
    @nihili in antergos bootmenu i can change the resolution of screen (when i press f3) and i got the error message when i try to launch antergos live. When or where i can use the commandline "lspci -k | grep -iEA5 'vga|3d'" ?

    terminal or tty, doesn't matter.
    this is just to get some definite information, it will not magically fix anything.

    oh, and please add the output of:

    uname -rv
    cat /etc/*release*
    again, only for information.

    not sure what you mean or why you're asking, and why you're asking it here, but:
    both these distros can be booted live.
    you get a fully usable operating system, but all changes disappear after shutting down.
