Unhappy Fatal error when trying to download ubuntu on chromebook.

I've been attempting to download linux on my personal chrome book (using this guide: lifehacker.com/how-to-install-linux-on-a-chromebook-and-unlock-its-ful-509039343) but whenever I do the final step, "sudo startxfce4" It comes up with:
    Fatal server error:
    [ 5357.630] (EE) AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0

Here is the pastebin for the entire log when I attempt to do "sudo startxfce" pastebin.com/M6ZmDBUa
I'm a total noob when it comes to stuff like this, and I don't even know what it means, nor am I sure that this is the correct place to post something like this, but if someone could help solve the problem I would be grateful.

It tries to use modesetting - which is for Intel graphics - falls back to fbdev, which fails also ... What graphics this Chromebook has?
    Code:
Please also check the log file at "/tmp/Xorg.crouton.1.log" for additional information.
This may be worth looking at.
