service yppaswdd start don't run

Hi everybody,, actually i've try to make an NIS server under Ubuntu, i have follow the tutorial Quick_HOWTO_ _Ch30_ _Configuring_NIS.
But when i use #service yppasswdd start this message appear "yppasswdd: unrecognized service", the same message appear when i use #service ypbind start.
I installed nis with #apt-get install nis
my nis version is :nis/oneiric uptodate 3.17-32ubuntu1

So, someone can help me ??? please:(

Oh!!! i've try to initialize my nis domain with
#usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m
then i use this command
#service yppasswd start
but not #service yppasswdd start
And this message appear
"yppasswd: yppasswdd not running on NIS master host ("nis")."
need Help please
