Exactly right, Jay. This info will be useful for someone at some point in time. You could save someone a lot of trouble here by posting your solution. If nothing else, your solution may give some one else an idea that would help them solve their own problem. Thanks and enjoy your new "Freedom"
Turns out that i had to use the modprobe lib80211 before insmod wl. I dont think this would help anyone though, because it was an error on my part.
No problem. It seems that with Arch, I just run into problem after problem. Now, i cant get xorg, and gnome to work. Hopefully someone will help with that soon.
Weird, after installing KDE, the wl.ko module doesnt load. When i do iwconfig, eth0, and lo say no wireless extensions. I also did a system update.
Edit:
This is the error I get when i run insmod wl.ko:
insmod: error inserting 'wl.ko': -1 Invalid module format
I have tried this withought kde and it still does not work.
