Exactly right, Jay. This info will be useful for someone at some point in time. You could save someone a lot of trouble here by posting your solution. Weird, after installing KDE, the wl.ko module doesnt load. When i do iwconfig, eth0, and lo say no wireless extensions. I also did a system update.
Edit:
This is the error I get when i run insmod wl.ko:
insmod: error inserting 'wl.ko': -1 Invalid module format
I have tried this withought kde and it still does not work.
