Cuz... I don't know what happened with that site, but there are some good tutorials right here if you want to look them over:

GIMP - Tutorials

The've helped me out of a mess several times.

Of course, the gimp manual is full of good stuff to know, too:

GNU Image Manipulation Program

Thank You Ozar!!

I'm just going to have to uncomplicate my life somewhat and find the time to try to learn how to use the gimp software.

You'll have to experiment with it some to learn it. You'll probably become an expert at it before you know it.

Ozar, sorry to be bothering you. I use the gnome desktop in my suse 10 os.

I went to the gimp application and when gimp came up I clicked help and got:

the gimp help files are not installed

/opt/gnome/share/gimp/2.0/help/en/gimp-help.xml for reading.

no such file or directory

Rather than doing the wrong thing I consider it the wise course to ask you just what I should do to obtain the gimp help files!

I noticed that the gimp website has version 2.4 for download, Should I upgrade to that?

I've not run Suse in years but I guess you can install the help files using Yast, or they might be found on the installation CD/DVD. You might be able to get the latest Gimp using Yast, too. I run version 2.4.6 on my box, but I get that from the Arch repo.

Maybe a current Suse user can provide more info on it.

Thanks, Ozar!

It may be that the suse 10 gimp help files were included in an update. I do not update because it takes hours and hours and I do not use the stuff anyway. I'll try downloading the newer version from their website.
